I heart THE SIMPSONS: Episode Guide 1

Season 2 - Bart Gets An F

While Bart Simpson has never been a star student, his grades have been slipping even further than usual, and his teacher Mrs. Krabappel warns him that if his marks don't improve, he might fail history and be left back rather than graduate to the fifth grade. Bart intends to study before his big test, but Homer persuades him to watch some television with him first; by the time Bart finally cracks his books, he's nearly fallen asleep. The next morning, Bart is convinced he can't pass and fakes being sick; Bart gets answers for the test from Milhouse but Milhouse turns out to be a bad choice, and Bart gets an F. Desperate to pass his class, Bart makes a deal with class brain Martin -- if Martin shows Bart how to be smart, Bart will show Martin how to be cool. Martin, however, turns into a party animal and fails to live up to his end of the bargain, and Bart prays to God for a reprieve on his test. To Bart's astonishment, a freak snowstorm causes school to be cancelled the next day, and while all his friends are out having fun, Bart studies like he's never studied before in a last-ditch attempt to pass the fourth grade.

I heart SOUTH PARK: Episode Guide 2

Season 5 - Episode 2 - It Hits the Fan.

It Hits the Fan is one of the most notorious episodes of the TV sitcom South Park; it is the 2nd episode of the 5th season. This episode is best known for the word shit being used repeatedly (162 times to be precise; with the exception of it being said 3 times in some scene.) There is a counter in the corner of the screen in this episode tallying the use of the word "shit". The episode questions whether there is an empty significance to taboo words and ridicules the relationship between networks that use shock and the viewers that are predictably captivated, that is to say; ABC's NYPD Blue, a show known for controversial network television firsts, is specifically parodied within the episode when an unnamed cop drama on "HBC" first introduces uncensored "shit".

Executives at Comedy Central felt the profanity was justified by context and decided to allow the uncensored episode to air, which surprised even the show's developers. Despite broadcasting a record setting amount of profanity, little controversy was stirred by the airing. Creator Matt Stone explained the passive passage by citing changing cultural standards, "No one cares anymore...The standards are almost gone."

I heart MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE: Trivia 1

The last name of the family has only once been revealed on the show. It is Wilkerson, as revealed in the pilot as the name tag Francis wears on his school uniform. There was also a joke that appeared in the original pilot script. In that script, Malcolm was walking to school when a neighborhood kid came running up shouting, "Malcolm, Malcolm, Malcolm. I was talking to my parents last night - I was listening to them talk, and what's your last name?" "Wilkerson, why?" Malcolm replied. "Oh. Who are the Pariahs?" said the other kid. The joke was eventually cut, and the show's writers subsequently decided never to reveal the family's last name so as not to designate the family as being of a specific ethnicity, but it would seem they forgot about Francis's name tag.

I heart SEX AND THE CITY: Quotes 1

Carrie: Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous.
