I heart DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES: Trivia

Nicolette Sheridan was only meant to be a guest on the show for the first few episodes. However, she was so popular and so effective as the vivacious Edie that they decided to make her a full-time desperate housewife. It was a lucky break for the actress; she had originally auditioned for the part of Bree.

I heart LOST: Trivia

The series began development in January 2004 when Lloyd Braun, then head of ABC, ordered a script that fused the concepts of the film Cast Away (2000) and the popular reality TV show "Survivor" (2000). Braun was unimpressed with the initial effort and the subsequent rewrite so he contacted J.J. Abrams, whose series "Alias" (2001) was a hit for the network. Although initially hesitant, Abrams gave it a go in collaboration with Damon Lindelof. Their script was greenlit, but because it had been commissioned so late in the 2004 development cycle it was under very tight deadlines. Ironically, before the pilot aired Lloyd Braun was sacked by ABC's parent company, Disney - for greenlighting such an expensive and risky project.

=============
This is the first episode which contained flashbacks from a character not from Flight 815.

I heart PRISON BREAK: Trivia

Paul Scheuring had said that the initial concept for the series (a man deliberately getting himself sent to prison in order to break out again) was suggested to him by a female colleague of his. He thought it was a great idea, but was initially stumped as to why someone would embark on such a strange mission or how he could stretch the idea out long enough for a TV show. He later came up with the idea of the wrongfully accused brother, and the conspiracy subplot. He then started work on writing the pilot script for the show.
